November Update Space Janitor

Logbook:

How could we make the gameplay fun? That was the main questions we tried to answer in November. So we tried a simple game mechanic.

The NPCs only walk, when the player walks.

The idea came from Oli and was probably inspired by games like Superhot. But it was a good enough start. So our game shifted towards a more strategic casual game.

The goal was to avoid the inhabitants as much as possible. Go in, finish your work as quickly as possible, and get out without running into NPCs. If you do, they will just give you more stuff to do.

We ignored narrative and style and vowed to only focus on gameplay until we had something fun.

Also we decided to make this new prototype in Godot. The upside is that you can make a quick web build and let people test it.

So here it is. Have fun!
